The smoke has covered this afternoon, around 17:30, the Metge Manuel Vallalta road, which connects Dénia with La Pedrera. There has been an outbreak of fire in one of the lots in the area. The abundant dry grass of the place has favored the flames to strengthen.
On that road, near the IES Chabàs, the smoke has set off the alarm among the neighbors mid-afternoon this Wednesday. A small fire was growing in a lot due to the undergrowth of the place. After warning what happened, the authorities have moved to the place to prevent the fire from reaching the nearby houses. Three members of the national police and two of the local police have closed the street to traffic while waiting for the firefighters to arrive.
According to witnesses, everything has happened very quickly. A fire truck has moved to the scene and in a matter of minutes has prevented the fire from growing, extinguishing the flames.
