August 24 from 2017 - 09: 16

Two hikers of English nationality had to be rescued by the helicopter of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium, on Wednesday afternoon, when they found themselves disoriented when they were walking through the Natural Park Montgó.

Around the 13: 20 hours one of them chose to make a call to the 112 emergency number to give the warning. His partner began to feel sick and he vomited. A complicated situation as neither of the two young men found the right way to return.

Both had run out of water and when they were rescued by firefighters, they had symptoms of dehydration. The young people were evacuated in the Alpha 1 helicopter. They participated in this rescue a pilot, a co-pilot, a gruista, a restroom and two rescuers. The British were taken to the Regional Fire Park where they were hydrated and there relatives went to pick them up.

These two hikers went to the mountains without the most appropriate clothes and footwear despite the precautionary notices indicated in the information panels installed inside the Montgó Natural Park.
