The Firemen of the Provincial Consortium of Alicante are prepared to the possible floods that could arrive in the next days to the zone. A hundred troops make up this special device, to which the rescue helicopter adds Hawk Alpha 1, with a crew composed of six professionals. Also, as a novelty, the Consortium will have a drone in the Park of Sant Vicent del Raspeig to control the channels of the rivers.
In addition, the non-commissioned officer of the Operational Zone of Marina Alta, Javier Fayos, maintains a permanent line of communication open with the Emergency services of the municipalities on the slopes of the Xaló and Gorgos rivers, in anticipation that weather events could lead to flooding.
The Deputy for Emergencies, Jaume Lloret, has stated that "The communication with the General Director of Emergencies of the Generalitat, José María Ángel, is constant, as well as with the technicians. We are all aware of the potential danger posed by the threat of floods and the need to offer an agile, coordinated response and fast".
The preemergence level in the Marina Alta for this Thursday is yellow, with a cumulative rainfall in one hour of 20 liters per square meter, and of 60 liters in twelve hours.
