Fallas artists threaten to terminate contracts to the commissions that they expect to plant in March

May 12 from 2021 - 15: 36

New controversy around the date for the celebration of the Fallas. The Federació d'Artistes Fallers i Fogueres de la Comunitat Valenciana has sent a statement urging that the fallas be planted and burned as soon as possible, threatening the commissions that refuse.

The announcement of the Ministry of Health about the possibility of celebrating the Fallas and Fogueres festivities in the second half of 2021 has been very well received by the Fallas artists sector who see it as an opportunity to reactivate their activity. Of course, they expected to be allowed to plant monuments in the middle of summer.

However, it is undeniable that a large number of commissions, in the case of Dénia, a majority number, advocates waiting until March 2022 because in 5 months, from planting on September, they would not have time to collect what is necessary to raise the monuments that used to.

But the federation has been ahead of those who might prefer March and has threatened to terminate their contracts if they do. "In the event that the contracting commission considers not to plant the Failure within that established period, it will be considered a unilateral rescission of the contaro, by said commission, having to comply with the provisions of the legislation regulating contracts of our Civil Code to , with this, proceed to request the fulfillment of the obligations contracted by both parties ", is what can be read in the statement.

At the moment it is unknown how the commissions against the hasty celebration in September will respond, since the statement has been made public only a few minutes ago, but it seems that the controversy goes on for a long time.
