Last Saturday the local team was the first Paddle Surf team to participate in this important rowing event consisting of a downwind (Navigation with wind in favor) from the Club Nautico de Villajoyosa to the port of Altea, 22 km of hard route passing through the Island of Benidorm, Serra Gelada and the bay of Altea.
The javiense Kyle Cochrane took the gold of the SUP category completing the race at one time 02: 37: 09 and the Dianense based on Marina de Denia, Emilio Irigoyen, with the silver surpassing the arrival buoys in a time of 02: 40: 35. The coach, Telmo Irigoyen, took advantage of the regatta accompanying and correcting in the water the local rider facing the Eurotour of the 18 of May, a demanding regatta between the Island of Tabarca and Santa Pola.
