A total of 707 records financial aid application were processed in 2014 by the Department of Social Services City of Dénia, representing 108 records more than during the previous year. Of that total, 702 received financial aid, mostly (422) to meet basic needs. 188 applications were to meet extraordinary expenses and 192 of the aid were intended for use housing.
2015 annuity for the Department of Social Services has received a grant from the Diputación de Alicante amounting to EUR 31.885, 21.391 of which will go to IndividuaLized Economic Benefits program.
This program is aimed at single people or households registered in Denia, La Xara and Jesus Pobre with an income not exceeding 417 euros per capita. Its purpose is to remedy a seriously deteriorating situation of urgent need or specific problems affecting their personal, social and economic autonomy.
The remaining EUR 10.494 grant has been allocated to service information, guidance, advice, handling of appeals and referral to specialized resources to develop social services primary care Dénia.
