Despite the increasingly strong restrictions, infections of coronavirus originating in the meetings of friends or family are still too common. They are the main cause of the rapid expansion of the pandemic, as has been admitted several times by Health.
Again in Dénia, outbreaks of coronavirus of social origin have been reported. Specifically, there have been 3 that Health has communicated, 2 of them causing 6 infections each and a last one that has left another 5 infections.
Situation of the coronavirus in the Valencian Community
The Valencian Community has registered 9.579 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test since the last update, which put the total number of positives at 273.971 people.
On the other hand, a total of 107.907 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered until Tuesday, and 5.393 people have already received both doses. Of the total doses, 105.256 are from Pfizer and 2.651 from Moderna.
By province, the distribution of new positives is as follows: 766 in Castellón (27.756 in total), 3.838 in Alicante (96.878 in total) and 4.967 in the province of Valencia (149.272 in total). In addition, 8 unassigned cases have been registered, so the total of unassigned cases stands at 65.
There have also been 93 deaths from coronavirus since the last update, so the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 4.320 people: 517 in the province of Castellón, 1.541 in Alicante and 2.262 in Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 4.669 people admitted: 461 in the province of Castellón, with 52 patients in ICU; 1.819 in the province of Alicante, 224 of them in the ICU; and 2.389 in the province of Valencia, 338 of them in the ICU.
In addition, since the last update, 6.731 discharges to patients with coronavirus have been registered. In this way, there are already 211.043 people in the Valencian Community who have overcome the disease since the pandemic began. By province, registrations are distributed as follows: 22.619 in Castellón, 72.253 in Alicante and 116.071 in Valencia, in addition to 100 not assigned.
According to the data recorded, there are currently 70.120 active cases, which represents 24,56% of the total positives.
