The EOI certification tests will be held between September 2 and 17

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports has published on the portal of the official schools of Valencian languages, the calendar of the written examinations of the unified certification tests (PUC) of languages ​​for the 2019-2020 academic year that were postponed by the declaration of the alarm status to deal with COVID-19.

The exercises will begin on Wednesday September 2 with the English B2 level and will conclude on Thursday 17 with the French B2. The oral tests will also begin on September 2, and in this case the EOI will publish before July 31 on their websites the day, time and place in which each pair of students must appear before the examining court that touches them.

Schedule

The written tests will start at 15:30 on Wednesday September 2 with the English level B2. Thursday September 3 will be the turn of Valenciano C2 (8:00 am) and English B1 (15:30 pm). The Valenciano C1 and French B1 tests will be on Friday 4 at 8.00:15.30 and XNUMX:XNUMX respectively.

From here the two shifts of daily exams are held, at 8.00:15.30 and at 7:1. On Monday 1 in the morning the time for Portuguese B1 and Arabic B2 arrives, while in the afternoon Spanish B8 and Chinese B1 will take place. On Tuesday 1th in the morning, the exams will be French C2, Russian B1 and Spanish B1, and in the afternoon Greek BXNUMX and Romanian BXNUMX.

On Wednesday morning 9th, the French C2 and the Basque B1 tests have been scheduled and in the afternoon, the Russian B2 and Spanish C1 tests. The next day, Thursday 10, will be the time for Spanish C2 and English C2 in the morning and Arabic B2 in the afternoon.

On September 11, Friday, the morning hours have been reserved for the Valenciano B2 exam and the afternoon for the Italian B1 and C1 tests. On Monday the 14th, the morning will be occupied by German levels B1 and C1, while in the afternoon it will be Italian B2. On Tuesday the 15th, the morning schedule will be held by Valenciano B1 and the afternoon by German B2.

On Wednesday the 16th, tomorrow will take the Portuguese B2 test and in the afternoon the English C1 test. On Thursday, September 17, the written tests conclude with the Portuguese C1 exams in the morning and the French B2 exams in the afternoon.

More than 33.000 registered people

This year, 33.346 people have registered for the PUC organized by the EOI network of the Valencian educational system, which is made up of 24 schools and 49 sections distributed in 66 municipalities, which offer the teaching of 17 languages ​​in total: German, English, Arabic, Spanish, Basque, French, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Valencian, Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, Polish and Japanese.

Nearly two out of three applicants, a total of 21.231, have registered for the free shift, while the remaining 12.115 are official EOI students.

In the 9 EOI and its 13 sections of the Alicante regions, 10.533 candidates will be examined, 6.148 of them by the free shift, while in the 3 EOI and 10 sections of the Castellón regions, 4.738 will do so, of which 3.080 will also for the free turn. In the 12 EOI and 26 sections of the Valencian regions, 18.075 people have registered in the PUC, 12.003 of them by the free shift.

The four activities of the PUC are comprehension of written texts; comprehension of oral texts; written mediation, and production and co-production of written texts. The oral part, which includes the oral production and co-production tests and the oral mediation tests, is carried out in pairs, and in the case of an odd number of candidates, by trios, proportionally lengthening the test time.

Information on the websites

All this information will be published on the Internet, both on the official language schools portal and on each of the 24 EOI websites. It is necessary that all applicants are attentive to the websites of the centers where they must take the test because the exact hours of the calls can vary, since the EOI can call the students in a staggered way to guarantee the safety distances between the candidates and candidates.

The PUC will be developed following the instructions that the health authorities establish to guarantee the safety of both the applicants and the teachers who carry out the test. The safety and hygiene protocols will be published before July 31 and the minimum safety distance of 1,5 meters will be ensured between all participating people.
