Sunday, January 29, the Senyoret riurau of Jesus Pobre hosts a new activity that brings together agriculture, territory, tradition and gastronomy: I Festival d'Herbes d'Hivern. This activity, organized by the Associació Sociocultural Mercat del riurau of Jesus Pobre let you know and identify edible herbs that can be part of our diet.

Activities begin at 10 am with tours of the term of Jesus Pobre to recognize the most common herbs hand Antoni Orengo agricultural engineer and biologist Vicent Morera Vall de Gallinera.

Throughout the morning you can see up close many of these plants in a small sample to be installed on the participation riurau the Orengo himself, author of Herbari Mengívol, Gastronomic Guide of flora silvestreAnd Casimir Romero and Paco Garrido, responsible Mengívoles Les herbes.

The Festival will have its own space within the Mercat del riurau where they can be tasted various dishes with these vegetables, from rice to a cream or tortilla nettles. Also restaurants offer that day Jesus Pobre culinary proposals incorporate wild weeds.

Festival organizers say "The point is to bring together many people who share interest and appreciation for edible herbs and the old habit of going to look for them and cook them.
