Marina de Denia continues to open its doors to emerging artists of the local and regional scene through its art gallery, which since it opened its doors just a few months ago, has hosted six exhibitions of different themes and styles.

The exhibition number seven arrives precisely this Friday, 7 of June, by the hand of the artist Belén Pajares, who exhibits for the first time in Dénia. Light that sails is a compilation of twenty of his works in aluminum, small, medium and large format, born of his passion for research in art, through experimentation with different materials.

During the presentation of her show, the artist explained that "I am currently painting on aluminum, a metal that gives me the opportunity to understand painting from another point of view. It is a new way of working with conventional materials, such as acrylic. What I have found is another emotion. work that you are going to be able to see are paintings, but above all, illustrations. In this exhibition I have joined the need to count things with navigation. I sail with a group of friends and always on these trips you realize that the movements the ship they transmit to you becomes a kind of strange illusion in your head, and this is what I have tried to express in a soft way on the metal ".

The director of Marina de Dénia, Gabriel Martínez, highlighted the "lightness" of Pajares' works, stating that "I have been able to see some photographs of his paintings and the curves that have reminded me of waves and sails have caught my attention ". The opening of the exhibition Light that sails will be at 19: 30 hours.
