The EATIM of Jesús Pobre will invest 241.634,57 euros in the remodeling of the Plaza del Pueblo, between Mayor and Pare Pere streets, in the next five months. It is a project subsidized by 95% by the Provincial Council of Alicante, while the remaining 5% will be borne by the smaller entity's budgets.
The project, with a term of 5 months of execution, contemplates the work in two phases, a first phase that affects the interior of the square and the section closest to Lluna Street, and a second phase that affects the connection road between Stop Pere and Major, and the farthest stretch of Lluna street.
The project includes the demolition of pavements and road, burying services, rainwater runoff, paving, widening of sidewalks, conversion into a single platform, trees and urban furniture.
It is a project developed from citizen participation, which has decided that the parking lot is eliminated, and the square will have the condition of pedestrian on weekends, from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening after the work is completed.
5 months of execution for such a small square? And they start now when they have had all winter. Posts already lack a source. I vote for a fountain in the middle of the placeta with a statue dedicated to Pare Pere.
