New musical trends come to the ninth edition of the Dénia Clàssics festival

New sounds and proposals come together this year to the programming of the classical music festival Dénia Clàssics, that from the month of January and until the month of April will offer four concerts of different groups in the auditorium of the Social Center of Dénia.

The director of the festival, Josep Vicent Giner, presented on Tuesday the program this year with the technician of the department of culture, Maribel Font, and the councilor of the area, Rafa Carrió. For Giner, this year's programming stands out for the variety of proposals within the unit that classical music supposes.

The cycle will begin on Friday January 26 with the concert of Dixielanders Jazz Band, a group formed by professors from the music conservatories of Elche and Alicante who will perform jazz pieces and the dixieland from New Orleans to 1940.

The second concert will be the 23 February, and will be borne by Odessa String Quartet, soloists of the Palau de Les Arts Orchestra They will offer a repertoire of classical and romantic music from the 18th and 19th centuries. Anastasia Pylatyuk (violin), Evgeny Moryatov (violin), Anatoliy Melnychuk (viola) and Alex Friedhoff (cello) will be accompanied by soprano Alina Melnychuk.

El Winners will be announced in March, coinciding with the feast of Holy Friday, there will be a concert by Margherita Marseglia (violin) and Jesús Mª Gómez (piano), which will offer a repertoire of works by the original nationalist schools for violin and piano.

Dénia Clàssics 2018 will finish the Friday, April 27, with the novel proposal of Jesús Salvador "Chapi" and Carles Salvador. Uncle and nephew will offer a concert of marimba and vibraphone in which they will interpret classic songs well known by the public, recreated live with their percussion.

Tickets for the concerts will be priced at 15 euros, and a subscription for the four concerts by 45 euros will be made available to the public. You can get them in Proakustik Dénia (Diana Street, 49); calling the 965788840 or at the auditorium box office on concert days.

Maribel Font has highlighted the good reception that this cycle of concerts has especially among the foreign public, with an average of 300 people per concert. That is why the challenge that they have set this year from their department is that the public increases and reaches the spectators of the region.
