The measures of Holy Week and Easter: meetings in homes will continue to be prohibited until the end of the holidays

11 March 2021 - 09: 56

The Interterritorial Council of the National Health System has approved by a large majority a minimum document regarding the measures to be taken by all the autonomous communities to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

In the first place, the perimeter closure of the autonomous communities (except the insular ones) has been decided between March 17 and 21 and between March 26 and April 9. Night mobility will be prohibited between 23.00 p.m. and 06.00 a.m., although this prohibition can be extended by the communities until 22.00 p.m., which is the maximum allowed by the alarm decree in force. Regarding groups of people, these will be a maximum of 4 in closed spaces, 6 in open spaces and only cohabitants in homes.

In a document that has had the express support of the Valencian Community, it is also recommended not to hold events that may involve the concentration or agglomeration of people.

This decision, in the words of the Minister of Universal Health and Public Health, Ana Barceló, "invites caution in the proximity of San José and the proximity of Holy Week and Easter."

In this sense, he added that "This coordination was necessary and now, each community will decide on this basis whether to adopt more restrictive measures or apply those approved". The councilor will take the Health proposal to the Interdepartmental Council that meets this Thursday for it to be analyzed and debated.
