The Classrooms for the Third Age have already launched their offer of activities for the new 2020-2021 academic year, which will be developed with special measures adapted to the exceptional health situation:
- The capacity in all classes is reduced by half.
- Both for the confirmation of the June pre-registration and for the registration of free places, it is necessary to request an appointment by calling 96 642 61 65 (as of August 17, during office hours from 9 a.m. to 13 p.m.).
The periods to formalize enrollment are the following:
- Confirmation of enrollment for June: from August 24 to September 25.
- Enrollment in free places: from September 7 to 18.
As always, workshops have been scheduled in Dénia, La Xara (maintenance and computer gymnastics) and Jesús Pobre (bobbins, Pilates and computers). In the case of Dénia, decentralized activities in different neighborhoods of the city, in the Social Center, the Centro de Barrio del Oeste and in Torrecremada (glass and ceramic workshops).
The offer includes already consolidated activities: those aimed at improving physical condition, such as yoga, dance, sevillanas, taichi-chikung-chen, aerobic gymnastics, healthy back, Pilates, postural gymnastics; artistic and creative activities, including patchwork, creative skills, bobbins, painting, glassmaking, ceramics; and other humanities activities, such as art history, theater, memory techniques, the book club, computer science, English, psychology, etc.
The requirements to join the Classrooms for the Third Age are: be registered in Dénia, be 55 years or older, be retired or be a pensioner and present the DNI, NIE or passport.
