The outskirts will start receiving mail in the new thousand mailboxes over the next few days

The Correos service will begin to leave the shipments in the multi-domicile mailboxes installed in points of the disseminated in the next few days. This was announced yesterday at the Montgó neighborhood meeting, which was attended by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, the neighborhood councillor, Raúl García de la Reina, the head of Post Office for the Alicante province sector, Sebastián Nieto, the Councilor for Territory and Urban Quality, Maria Josep Ripoll, and the postmaster of the Dénia unit, José Argudo, in addition to about thirty neighbors.

Those responsible for Correos explained the new company policy that involves eliminating the door-to-door delivery service in the disseminated one, although they noted that, in the case of notifications and parcels, the delivery will remain at home. Likewise, they indicated that letters that have not yet been collected from the office and are owned by a mailbox, will be left in the new mailboxes.

Finally, the representatives of the Post Office thanked Dénia City Council for helping the neighborhood organize and get mailbox batteries.

In total, 1.092 mailboxes have been installed, distributed in two points of Deveses Y and Deveses II, 5 points Marines and 9 points in the Rotes Montgó area, of which 959 have been acquired. Currently, the concession of mailboxes that have been released to petitioners who have not paid on time but who have reiterated that they want to acquire one, is being processed.

On the other hand, people who do not yet have a mailbox can group and agree with other neighbors and, in coordination with the Post Office and the City Council, place new batteries or wait for a new call from the City Council to request it.
