This morning I was handed the keys of urban gardens Torrecremada people over 60 years registered in Dénia who will be responsible to self-manage orchards.
Some plots have been reserved for social purposes so they can be used by users of Tapis, the Classrooms for the Elderly, day center, and practices department activities Environment. In addition the intention is to promote the educational use of the gardens to be located in an area surrounded by colleges and organic farming.
The ceremony was attended by the councilors Juan Carlos Signes (environment), Vicente Chelet (Agenda 21), Sisco Signes (Works and services), Marcela Server (Participation) and Isabel Gallego (higher).
The area consists of a total of 3.000 50 square meters and plots of 50 square meters, an area of recreation and rest areas. Despite being autogestinable, facilities will be reviewed once a year.
