This week the classes of the educational centers of Dénia have started, welcoming students and teachers to the new school year that comes with several novelties. And not only in terms of pure teaching or development of educational activity, but four of the centers will face great changes that will perpetuate to improve the day-to-day life of the students.
The Councilor for Territory, Maria Josép Ripoll, took advantage of the press conference this week at the start of the new course to take stock of the Edificant Plan for the improvement and construction of educational infrastructures, which in Dénia faces a few decisive months for the tender, award and start of works of the last planned performances.
These are the 4 great works that will be carried out in the schools of Dénia this course 2021/2022:
1. CEIP Pou de la Muntanya
You are already close to starting the works for the construction of the Children's classroom and the new gym at CEIP Pou de la Muntanya that will allow to release El Rodat and group all the students of the center in the same school.
The term of the works, which are scheduled to begin this autumn, is 8 months and has a cost of € 1.619.448,26.
2. Historiated High Schools Chabàs
The improvement works of the IES Historiador Chabàs, which will affect the exterior wall, have already been provisionally awarded and "soon we will be able to set a date at the beginning," said councilor Ripoll.
The value of the tender is € 833.427,24 and they will have a term to conclude them of 6 months.
3. IES Maria Ibars
Another historical claim, the expansion and rehabilitation of the Maria Ibars, is already in the process of evaluating the offers submitted to the tender "and the award will be before the end of the year." This project will finally make the exit from the courtyard of the institute from the barracks that currently make up for the lack of space.
The intervention will cost € 2.125.502,87 + VAT and the term to finish them will be 12 months.
4. EEC Raquel Payá
The expected new Raquel Payá center They also indicate that it will advance during this course, probably initiating the first works. The drafting project "will go out to tender soon, to be able to start the works in 2022," said the councilor, Maria Josep Ripoll.
The project drafting period is 4 months and € 315.483,92 + VAT will be invested in it.
I do not know the details of the works that are going to be carried out, but one thing that makes me think is what improvement is going to be achieved on the fences of the Chabas Institute, which justifies an expense of more than € 800.000?
Will that really be worth it? Is this expense justified by the benefit to be obtained?
