Lady Elizabeth School inaugurates the first phase of expansion of its school

Lady Elizabeth School bet on El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, providing the municipality with new educational facilities.

International School Partnerschip (ISP) and the Laude chain inaugurated yesterday the first phase of the expansion works of its school Lady Elisabeth that is located in the Cumbres del Sol urbanization of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.

The mayor of Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Josep Femenia, and the government team attended the official act to which parents were also invited. The first class building has more than met the construction deadlines announced by the international educational center of the Marina Alta.

In total, the investment amounts to 15 million euros, so that in Puig Llorença facilities can offer the entire school journey from Primary to Secondary. This first building will allow the expansion of the Primary education facilities of 4º and 5º elementary students, with a block built next to the current facilities in such a way that it complements and is connected to them.

'Secundary' project

Meanwhile, the works for the Secundary project are advancing at a good pace in the other part of the terrain. This building, according to Lude and ISP, will be ready for the next course and will feature:

- 20 large classrooms
- 10 smaller classrooms for Baccalaureate,
- A common room,
- 2 support classrooms,
- 4 science laboratories,
- 1 of food science,
- 1 art classroom,
- 2 music classrooms,
- 2 auxiliary music classrooms,
- 3 computer rooms,
- 1 library;
- An auditorium for 640 people,
- Climatized pool,
- Soccer field and two basketball courts

Laude School has been receptive to the demands of the city council so that the sports facilities and the auditorium of the future international middle school are open to public use. Also to give priority to the hiring of workers from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell for maintenance services and caregivers of the new center.

The educational project will be an international benchmark and will place the municipality on the map, as well as revalue the territory and expand the educational and sports offer of the residents of the municipality. Currently there are agreements between the center and the Department of Education, by Myra van 't Hoff, to promote English learning of schoolchildren. Currently, children enrolled in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell enjoy a discount of 20% in the intensive English courses taught with their native teachers.
