The XXIX International Music Week of Dénia presents an innovative and varied program

August 08 from 2018 - 18: 13

The cultural summer in Dénia will end with one of the most consolidated proposals of the calendar: the International Music Week, which this year reaches its twenty-ninth edition betting on innovation and the variety of formations and styles.

The councilman of Culture, Rafa Carrió, and the technician of the department, Maribel Font, have shelled the details of this year's proposal: five concerts that are still betting on Valencian musicians whose proposals will go from the most classic to the most contemporary.

The concert cycle will begin on Saturday, August 18, with the performance of Paco Montalvo, a virtuoso violinist who created the flamenco violin as the main voice. Montalvo will present his album in Dénia Flamenco violin soul, and will offer in his performance flamenco Spanish music with arrangements for violin of known pieces. Montalvo's is, for the organization, the most innovative performance of this year. Tickets will be priced at 20 euros.

El Monday, August 20, will act Alexander Beliakov of Felipe, a young pianist who at the 10 years was already considered a prodigy of music. His performance corresponds to the Youth Week and will offer a classical repertoire, with works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Granados. Tickets can be purchased by 6 euros.

The proceedings will continue Tuesday, August 21, with BCN Sax Quartet, a group formed by Dianense Marta Romero and her colleagues David Salleras, Joan Soler and Dani Molina. They will offer "the most contemporary program", with compositions by musicians such as A.Piazzolla, O.González, P.Glass, JBSingelés, and others such as Salleras. The entrance to the concert will be 10 euros.

El viernes 24 It will be the turn of "musical excellence", with the performance of Pedrell Trio (Christian Torres, Ferran Bardolet, and Jordi Humet), a group from Barcelona that will invite you to enjoy a program in three aspects and three composers. A first part will correspond with a vision of contemporary music, with works by S.Brotons; a second part in which a piece by R.Gehard will be performed for the first time from 1918; and a third point that will be the return to classical music, with a piano trio by J.Brahms. The entry will be 12 euros.

Finally, and as a culmination to 5 days of variety, the department "I did not want to miss the opportunity to have the OMA, Orchestra of the Marina Alta", which celebrates 20 years. Thus, the Saturday August 25, will be in charge of closing this edition with a Spanish music program composed in two parts: one in which the OMA will perform Sweetheart love, and a second part in which the soprano Carmen Paula Romero will intervene, with works by J.Turina, F.Moreno and R.Chapí. This last appointment will have a price of 15 euros and according to Font "It will be very colorful and popular".

All concerts will be held at the 20.30 hours at the Social Center, and tickets can be purchased early in Instanticket, or at the box office from the 16 of August of 18: 30 to 20: 30 hours. There is also the possibility of acquiring an 55 Euro subscription to attend the 5 concerts.
