The Volta a Peu the Navy ended the season with dinner and awards ceremony

On Saturday night, local athletics met at the Hotel Dénia Marriott to celebrate the end-of-season dinner of the Return to Peu at Marina Alta, An event that brought together more than 200 people to end another year of popular careers.

The night began with the awarding of prizes to the little ones, who proudly collected their trophies by categories. And is that the children's public is increasingly numerous in each race, being one of the pillars of the future of this important event of the regional sport.

After enjoying a dinner we proceeded to the delivery of trophies to the adult categories, but not before reviewing in a video the unforgettable moments of each race. The director of the Volta, Juanjo Vallés, addressed the public for the last time, since this year he leaves office to make way for new generations. Vallés welcomed the inclusion of Benitatxell and Dénia in the Poble Nou circuit, two towns that will score next year and which will add 12 municipalities to the circuit.

Vallés wanted to thank the work of the municipalities in the organization of each race, as well as the employees who year after year continue to support the event. Before the trophies were delivered by categories, one of the most emotional prizes was awarded, the trophy to the effort, sacrifice and improvement of sports that went to the runners Pepa Pedro and Silvia Salvà.

The Cirtcuit to Peu to the Marina Alta ended the season in which 20 editions of this venerated sporting event have been fulfilled, which year after year brings together more and new riders from the whole region.
