After the Holy Week celebrations, Easter Sunday arrives and what better way to spend it by the sea. In the port of Dénia, enjoying a sport as autochthonous as the rowing. On Sunday 8 in April, the "VIII Regata Llaüt Mediterrani Liga Suma-XXXI Virgin of the Desamparados Trophy".
Like the last season the Marina and Tourist Marina de Denia, will be the best place to follow what happens in each of the races. The public will be able to follow what the rowers do in the race course from the Marina de Dénia promenade.
Testing schedule
The competition will start as usual with the veterans' tests starting from the 9 in the morning and it is foreseen that they will conclude with the absolute category regattas over the 14 hours.
It is expected that in Dénia there will be 20 clubs that will arrive from different points of the Valencian Region, which will represent 67 teams, which are distributed in the categories of Cadet, Juvenile, Absolute and Veterans, both in women and men, adding the totality of 700 rowers.
The categories of cadets and veterans have a regatta field of 700 meters in which they must make a tack. While the juvenile and absolute categories must row 1.400 meters in which they will give three tacks.
The event is organized by the Club Rem Marina de Dénia, Marina and Tourist Marina of Dénia, Commission of Festivities Virgen de los Desamparados and Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community and has the collaboration of the City of Dénia, Local Police and Red Cross Dénia
