Today, June 8, more than fifty 6th grade students from the Sacred Heart School of HH Carmelitas de Dénia, visited the facilities of La Sella Golf, in a traditional visit that had stopped taking place for two years due to the pandemic situation.
At the initiative of José Manuel Caravaca, a Physical Education teacher, and with the tutors of each course and the head of studies, they went to the golf course so that the children could discover this sport. Golf instructors Dino Ferrer, with his assistant Michael, offered classes to the children on long shots and putting, approaching and an excursion to some of the holes on the course.
Many of the children were surprised by the number of animals that inhabit this facility, especially in the lakes, snakes, frogs, ducks, swans, rabbits, something unusual in sports areas. For this reason, it is the most anticipated excursion of the year, which allows them to go out into nature and find their swing.
The boys and girls respected the gardening, the trees and the silence for the rest of the players who were on the field at that time, in addition to learning the basic techniques of this sport.
Most of them knew about golf from game consoles, but they had not brought it to reality, which they thought was "much more difficult but cooler".
