UPCCA guides and advises the consumption of alcohol and drugs

The education and the sensitization to the population on the consumption of alcohol and drugs, today and always, is one of the fundamental objectives of the UPCCA of Dénia, a totally free agency that from the Department of Social Welfare carries out activities, programs and information campaigns about alcohol and drug abuse.

Information and advice to the population is another of its fundamental pillars, since it includes among its objectives the promotion of healthy activities and habits in the family, school and community spheres.

The latest data from the state ESTUDES 2010 survey of the National Drug Plan reveals that alcohol is the most consumed substance among students aged 14 to 18 years and that the age at which alcohol consumption starts is 13,7 years . The survey estimates that 62% of boys consume alcohol compared to 7% of girls.

The UPCCA service is accredited by the Department of Health, General Directorate of Health Care and Management and is located in the Social Services building (Archduque Carlos square) or on the 96 646 20 27 and 628 07 64 49 telephones.
