Like every year at this time, the center associated of UNED in Dénia launches its awareness campaign against gender violence, one of the most powerful and visible performed in the region.
Through Equality Observatory throughout this November they will be held a series of concrete actions to influence especially in education as a pillar to eradicate a scourge that continues to be very present in our society, as reflected in recent indicators.
For this they have "planted" in the hall on the first floor of the center the Tree of Nonviolence, a mural in which the secondary school students who participate in the proposed activities leave their fingerprint stamped in some color as a sign of their commitment Against gender violence. This action was intended to visualize this problem and to educate youth about the need to stop violence against women.
The activities prepared by the Equality Observatory UNED Dénia include Cinefórum for fourth of ESO participating in the IES 3, Historian Chabás, Maria Ibars Number and school Alpha and Omega. During the session two shorts were designed to reflect the reality experienced by many couples, but with two different outcomes.
From the Equality Observatory UNED Dénia has stressed the need to differentiate between domestic violence and gender violence, for which "It is necessary to influence the formation, but in a more transversal and continuous way".
