The loss or theft of a mobile phone could be the cause of the dispute that ended in the assault on two Maghreb minors from the Juvenile Center of Les Rotes last week by a group of fifteen people in Dénia.

According to sources of the National Police, the facts have their origin in a disagreement that in the middle of October had six minors in the reception center with other young people of this town, when both were in the fairgrounds. From that date both groups have faced and threatened each time they have coincided in the streets of the town, arriving at some time to attack each other.

The now detained persecuted and assaulted the complainants on several occasions, they also called them by telephone to try to stay with them in order to threaten them and allegedly attack them. The aggressors have appeared several times in the vicinity of the reception center, threatening and preventing the victims from developing a normal life. On one occasion they even tried to sneak into the center jumping the fence, although the educators prevented it.

After the attack, nine people, six minors and three adults, were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of "stalking" or repeated and illegitimate harassment. The circumstance occurs that one of the detainees is in turn the father of one of the minors involved.

The detainees of Spanish nationality, Argentine and Moroccan, with ages between the 44 and the 15 years were released after being heard in a statement and are waiting to be summoned by the Judicial Authority and the Children's Prosecutor.
