It is one of the consolidated events of the Dénia cultural calendar. International Music Week this 2014 reaches its twenty-fifth edition with a program "varied and interesting for all audiences", as noted by its organizers. Five concerts have been organized this year to be held in the auditorium of the Social Center between August 19 and 23 at 20:30 p.m.
The concert series will begin on Tuesday August 19 with the performance of Quarteto Dianium, Formed by students Tenor Cortis Conservatory Eduardo Giner, Amanda Monfort, Marta and Clarisa Romany Cornejo, who will offer a compendium of film pieces.
20 Wednesday August will be the turn of Sitango Ensemble that will delight the public with 'A Viatge through Tango'And on Thursday will be the Enoch Arden 21 group who performed a tribute to Strauss in the 150 anniversary of his birth. The winner of a Goya, Rosana Pastor, narrate this story about a castaway that after being lost for years on a desert island discovers to return home to his wife and family have replaced him for his best friend.
Daniel Ligorio, considered by critics as one of the pianists with more national projection and winner of several international awards such as the 'Kendall Taylor Beethoven piano Prize', will perform a monograph by Goerge Greshwin on Friday, 22 in August. "It is a concert of a more current composer that gives variety to the cycle", explained the technique of Culture, Maribel Font.
Finally, the concerts will conclude on Saturday 23 in August, with the Lliria Orchestra that will perform a performance in two parts. The first of them, 'El Amor Brujo de Falla', is a work that stands out for its originality with music inspired by Spanish-Arabic elements. In the second part will be performed 'Poems of Love by Albéniz' in which the actor Ángel Figols will interpret the love poems that Albéniz dedicated to the actress Sarah Bernhardt.
