The drafting of the General Structural Plan in Dénia continue to advance. In recent months there have been several meetings and workshops have been held in order to gather all possible information about the model city residents who want to move it to the final document.
By the government team, Councilwoman territory, MªJosep Ripoll, explained that during these months has been working on two documents that until now did not exist. On the one hand, Current Urban Consolidated Study and secondly, the Guidelines for long-term development. Ripoll says it is necessary to diagnose the consolidated design and propose in the General Plan for the future study.
The second document, on long-term guidelines, has already been submitted to the opinion of the Cabinet of the General plan, the directing body in which all the members of the municipal corporation are represented. That document already included a series of proposals such as the new access to Dénia, parallel to the current one; a park road to connect the city with the port; concentrate urban growth around the urban nucleus; a variant in La Xara or a splitting of the Camino de Gandía to free the traffic road from Marines.
Currently there is another document to work with the cabinet, a document that includes the main proposals to be developed later in the plan. Friday was held a working session with the cabinet of PGE to open the debate on these proposals, to be discussed in depth. From now starts a new process for testing prior involvement with citizenship document guidelines and proposals of the General Plan.
The objective of the City is now collecting the participation held in the workshops held last year in the processing of PGE and participation through the EDUSI (Strategy for Sustainable Integrated Urban Development) to bring together the conclusions and structure them into three main axes .
- Green infrastructure model, Which includes issues such as protecting landscape value, connection between landscapes, creating urban green spaces, and mobility.

- Implementation of infrastructure and equipment, such as the creation of new accesses, improvement of transport infrastructure, the creation of new areas to boost the economy (business parks, areas of activity and commerce ...) and the implementation of new public facilities.
The guidelines document and the proposed new General Plan will be structured around three axes, generating a new document of conclusions of participation prior involvement collect and present. From there, the work will rest with the technical team, which will have to make use of this document findings and develop proposals that are realizable in the Plan.
Conference on territory and local government
The output of this new phase of engagement will be on Thursday October 20 with the celebration of the Day Territory and Local GovernmentIn which participation technicians explain what the new phase through workshops. That day will be announced the proposals prepared by technicians, and participate Josep Vicent Boira, Regional Secretary of the Department of Housing and professor of geography at the University of Valencia, Joan Romero.
After this day workshops participation battery and zonal roaming days are divided into two sessions to be held on the following dates and locations will be chained:
- 26 27 and October: The Xara
- 2 3 and November: Jesús Pobre
- 9 10 and November: Marines
- 16 17 and November: Rotes-Montgó
- 22 23 and November: Urban center
Sectorial Planning Consell
Last week, the plenary session of the City Council of Dénia approved the rules of the Sectorial Council of Urbanism, whose calls will work parallel to the participatory process. The councilor of territory, MªJosep Ripoll, announced that she hopes that it will be constituted this October.
