The diocesan procession takes to the streets of Denia to the expectation of thousands of people

The intense lived week in Dénia by the Board of Brotherhoods of the Diocese of Valencia had its peak in the great diocesan procession through the streets of the city on Saturday afternoon, in which thousands of people lined the route to watch direct some of the most significant images of the 32 cities that belong to the Board and participated in the procession.

The evening began with a drum parade in the Plaza Jaume I which began the Archbishop of Valencia, Moseñor Carlos Osoro. Here members of the bands below procesionarían with their respective brotherhoods and for five minutes sounded their drums participated. Behind them, the archbishop spoke a few words to the members of the Board, which this year have chosen Dénia host its annual meeting.

At 17 hours the procession started in the Paseo del Saladar with the Guiding Cross of the Brotherhood of Dénia accompanied by the Band of the Brotherhood of the Nazarene of Ondara. Utiel, Gandía, Llíria with the image of the Praying Christ, Rafelbunyol, Manises, Alginet and the size of the Christ of the Column; Benetusser and his representation of passion; Benifaió, Tous, the Ecce Homo of Requena; a representation of the Swedish brotherhoods; the Ecce Homo de Sagunto, brotherhoods of Quart de Poblet, Alberic, Ontinyent, Paterna, Corbera, Aielo de Malferit, who were joined by representation of the brotherhoods of L'Olleria; Xàtiva, Valencia, Bellreguard, L'Alcúdia, the Christ of the Life of Dénia, the Christ of the Blood of Cheste, the Christ of the Forgiveness of Tavernes de la Valldigna; the Queen of Easter and the Christ of the Good Death of Torrent; the Dolorosa de Oliva; several biblical characters represented by Benifairó de la Valldigna, the Holy Cross coming from Alzira, and the broad representation of Alboraya toured the scheduled titinerary for five hours.

Dénia participated in the procession, in an extraordinary way, with the image of the Holy Blood, which only procesiona in the festivities and was guided by young people from the Juniors of the parish of San Antonio.

The procession was presided over by Bishop Carlos to finish Osoro, the honorary members of the Diocesan Board; local and committees of the Board presidents and political representation headed by the mayor, Ana KringeAnd several councilors of the municipal corporation.

Artistic Musical Agrupació de Dénia put music at the end of this procession which ended the XXVIII meeting Diocesan Procession Easter brotherhoods of the Diocese of Valencia.
