Within the framework of a police operation against drug trafficking, on May 24, agents of the Judicial Police Brigade attached to the Dénia Police Station, supported by the Citizen Security Brigade and the Group of Canine Guides of the BPSC of Alicante detained 7 people, seizing more than 260 grams of cocaine, as well as about 7 kilos of Marijuana, pills and other narcotic substances, in two domiciliary searches carried out under the Instruction of the Investigating Courts of the same locality .

The investigation began after the information obtained by the Judicial Police agents, who observed a large movement of people at all hours to a private home on a street in that town, even breaching the measures still in force of the state of alarm that restricted the free movement of people. In addition to the police expertise to obtain this information, there was the collaboration of the citizens of the place through various neighborhood complaints received in this regard.

As a result of the investigations carried out by the investigators, it was concluded that, the domicile object of the investigation, was undoubtedly a point of sale of narcotic substance, even specifying that the resident of the house had an intimate relationship with another subject residing in the same town, where a high influx of people could also be observed, thus presuming the agents that both addresses could be related as places of drug sales.

The Dénia Investigating Court that is investigating the case authorized the home searches, concluding the investigation with the arrest of seven people and the intervention of a large amount of narcotic substance of a varied nature, as well as cash.

The detainees, two of whom had prior records, were turned over to the City Guard Investigating Court.
