Police intervene in a bar in which a group was concentrated against the restrictions of the hotel industry

February 17 from 2021 - 13: 06

Hoteliers from all over the Community have come together to protest against the restrictions that the Generalitat has imposed on their businesses to prevent the advance of the pandemic. Of course, always through protests called and approved, despite threats from associations to open against the regulations. However, this associationism sometimes fails to represent individuals who decide to uncheck themselves and take the less legitimate routes.

This is what happened last Sunday in Dénia, where an establishment on Calle Patricio Ferrándiz decided to open its doors allowing a group of protesters to enter to, in this way, protest against the closure of the hotel business.

Upon learning of this concentration, several police officers, a dozen according to witnesses, appeared at the scene to end the act. There they found dozens of people gathered both outside and inside the premises, some of them carrying banners. Now, according to the agents, the establishment would not be serving drinks so, for that part, it had not disobeyed the regulations.

The police were dedicated, according to the councilor Javier Scotto to this means, to check the business license and verify the situation, warning and demanding compliance with a regulation that does not allow meetings with so many individuals. The protesters were open to cooperating, so the police did not require any other action.
