Mariana Pineda square brings together dozens of people shouting "Volem Flexio"

August 27 from 2012 - 00: 00

Dozens of people gathered on Friday in the Plaza Mariana Pineda with the cry of "Volem Flexió". From the 20: 30h attendees wanted to show their disagreement with the refusal of the Dianense consistory to the cultural event to be held this year. During the rally, Vicent Balaguer participated by reading a personal manifesto. In this one, the Dianense historian expressed his displeasure arguing that he does not understand that La Flexió Verbal does not develop being an ideal artistic complement to the sun and beach tourism of the city. His words were linked to the joint manifesto of the association in which he said that the festival could have developed without harming any party, both neighbors and the hospitality sector.

Members of the association reported that in early January had a meeting with council members and were warned that they had reached a number of neighborhood complaints. "We were told that we had skipped one day the schedule and said that we would saltárnoslo more. They put conditions to not happen again. The agreement was signed but fifteen days of the festival had a meeting with neighbors and members in which the City Council had already agreed with the neighbors who would not do as we had been told yes. [...] fifteen days we had no leeway to change it. " He explains one representative.

The municipality of Dianense has 138 signatures of neighbors against the realization of the Flexió Verbal. The association thinks that the rubrics are just an excuse to throw them out of the square, despite not doubting their existence. In the joint manifesto it was stated: "Apparently, they have the same validity as other far more numerous firms regarding other enclaves of the city to other municipal issues such as the rise of IBI".
