The Platform in Defense of Public Health of the Marina Alta he confesses "skeptical" before the explanations of the Ministry of Health on the rescue of public health in the region, whose explanations heard from the mouth of the Councilor, Carmen Montón, on his visit to Dénia.
During the meeting, the members of the Platform demanded "an audit where citizens are represented as well as professionals, both affected in the disastrous private management of our health", at the time that they transferred their demands.
These include the permanent opening of the hospital ward of the Denia Hospital; Dismantle the High Performance Unit, "that turns the maternity ward into a hodgepodge of patients of all specialties"; launch the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit; normalize the referral of patients to the Hospital de La Pedrera and the rest of the hospitals of the public network of the Valencian Community; adjust the levels of the structural staff to the real needs of personnel and replace leaves, vacations and leaves; review the portfolio of services for certain specialties "that they lend themselves to the hospital without sufficient human resources"; check that private patients or of other departments do not pass in front of the patients of the Marina Alta in the waiting lists; and follow the Ictus and SCACEST codes, "that at present they are not being fulfilled properly".
Regarding the modification of the Health Councils, the members of the Platform were pleased that they will be modified, as they informed them, there will be bilateral and multilateral meetings in the near future, as well as immediate actions "so that we are on equal terms with other health departments".
