04 September 2015 - 00: 08

Full satisfaction in the face of the members of the Platform of People Affected by the Mortgage of the Marina Alta (PAH Marina Alta), since they have managed to paralyze the 15 evictions in which they have intervened and which were in the process of being awarded. Most of them in Dénia.

In so far this year 2015 203 have treated cases of those who have solved 154, 92 have managed repossessions, mostly in social rental scheme. They have obtained 39 debt restructurings within the Code of Good Conduct that results in achieving a rate of paying 5 years 0,25% euribor plus the house. But these optimal conditions are available to few and from the PAHs improving this law is required.

They have managed to take away with financial 8 which are the homes that banks refuse to take advantage. 49 remain pending cases to be solved.

Endorsement to Municipal Pact Antidesahucios

The member of this platform, Mª José Juárez, said "we welcome the Municipal Pact Antidesahucios, but should start as quickly as possible there are people that are faring badly".

The Platform will closely monitor that this agreement is fulfilled, since they ask that from the consistory the empty existing houses be located so that they are offered with social rents. It is urged that the IBI be increased to the owners of these empty houses and that families at risk of social exclusion be exonerated or reduced.

Juárez 17 recalled that last August, the Regional Minister for Housing, Mª José Salvador announced the creation of a joint table to prevent evictions and they had not yet summoned from the municipality of Dénia.

They requested that municipalities are involved much more when negotiating with banks, as they can make a stronger pressure. They recognize that banks have changed their attitude when dialogue and this is very important.

Do not be ashamed or afraid

It is recalled that many of those affected take too long to reach the platform. They do when their situation is dramatic and have already received the court proceedings so that there is hardly time for them to help you.

Ask those affected to put aside shame and fear, who come to the Platform for help. They can do so by going to Llunàtics facilities as meet every Wednesday there or also calling 608393144.
