Dénia will host, next June 9 in June, more than 700 people linked to the ONCE Social Group as the venue for the celebration of its Valencian Community Day.
Each year, the people linked to the ONCE, its Foundation and the companies of the Ilunion Group meet in a day of fellowship in a different municipality of the Community with the aim of exchanging experiences and projecting themselves in the city they visit.
Enrique Llin, president of the ONCE in the Valencian Community, has presented the activities organized for this day in the company of the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt. The day of brotherhood will begin at 10: 00 in the morning with a lunch at the Calle Marques de Campo. Then, attendees can choose between a catamaran trip through the Marine Reserve or a guided tour of the old town. To finish the activities, they will share a meal in the classrooms Canor, in Teulada, the only accessible place with capacity for 700 people who have found in the region.
The mayor of Dénia has called on citizens to make that day an unforgettable day for the workers of ONCE, and has shown "proud and very happy" that they have chosen Dénia this year.
Dénia, an accessible but improvable city
Blind people will participate in the next 9 in June, but also with other types of disabilities, since the 58% of the ONCE Social Group staff suffers some type of disability.
The programmed activities take into account accessibility for all of them, although the mayor has acknowledged that there are still places and establishments with poor accessibility, so much work remains ahead for the city to be 100% accessible.
In this regard, Enrique Llin reminded public authorities and citizens of the need to be aware of the importance of accessibility to private public and local places, although he has recognized that the areas they will occupy in Dénia "They are the most comfortable".
