In spite of how early Easter has arrived this year, the good weather has contributed to the fact that the occupation in Dénia has been satisfactory during this period of high season holidays in the city.
According to the telephone survey made to tourist accommodation by the Department of Tourism of the City Council of Dénia, occupancy in hotel establishments during Holy Week is around 83%, a figure that coincides with the forecast made, which ranked the occupation rate in hotels between 80 and 85%.
Special mention deserves the campsites, which started with a forecast of occupation between the 60 and the 65% and have finally thrown an occupation close to the 80%.
The tourist accommodation rentals had an average occupancy of 55%, although from this survey it is indicated that several companies reached the 90% occupancy. It should be remembered that the modality of rental of tourist accommodation is less used in short holiday periods such as Holy Week and that even some companies do not rent in that period to require, in many cases, more days of the defendants for this period.
