Gandía's 'Trío Faraona' play wins the 25th Mostra de Teatre Ciutat de Dénia

Last Saturday was closed at the Social Center Denia 25 edition Teatre Ciutat de Dénia Exhibition, that one more year has had the support of the public. From the 4 and until the 13 in June, works of various genres from all over the country followed, demonstrating, once again, the high quality of this traditional appointment with culture.

This year the public has wanted trio Faraona, Theater group Aiguamar Gandia, it stood with the award for best play. This work, which opened this year's edition, narrated between songs and humor of manners and traditionalist attitude that characterizes our attitude.

The award for best actress went to Pilu Fontan, for his performance in the play La dama boba, a tribute to Lope de Vega, Represented by the Classical Theater of Valencia Mediterranean group. The award for best actor went to Franco Méndez, the group Teastrero Malaga, which represented the work of Fernando Arrabal Fando and Lis and best director was awarded to Rafael García, also Fando and Lis.

The award for good use of Valencian, sponsored by the Fundació BaleàriaIt was for the work La Dona de Negre, Represented by Swedish group L'últim Toc.

This year two special mentions were awarded: the first to Vicent Balaguer "for his tireless work in the contest and his contribution to the theatrical world of the region" and the second for Pepe Catala, councilman of Youth City Council Dénia 25 years ago, when it held the first Mostra.
