The new Pastor Cabrera Foundation assumes the management of the Alfa & Omega school

The Alfa & Omega school faces a new stage. For a few months, its management has passed from the Evangelical Church to the newly created Pastor Cabrera Foundation, which from now on will direct and administer the educational program of the center.

This foundation was created with the target to develop existing work and undertake other that could be done with the same purposes in the rest of the country. It also aims to promote and encourage solidarity towards people and disadvantaged groups, as well as development cooperation with countries that require it. Pastor Cabrera foundation work networking with other institutions with common goals and implement and defend the principles of the Millennium Declaration.

Among the activities that the Foundation will carry out are campaigns to raise awareness and awareness of the sensitivity towards people; the formation and promotion of social volunteering; help for families who can not afford the cost of training their members; the promotion of scholarships for studies abroad; workshops and conferences aimed at professionals and the realization of projects at an international level.

The president of the foundation and director of the Alfa & Omega school, Jorge Pastor, explained that another of the projects covered by the new foundation is the annual delivery of the Pastor Cabrera Awards, among which there would be awards for academic achievement, for solidarity or entrepreneurship, innovation and talent.

Joaquín Pastor Cabrera

The name of the foundation is a tribute and recognition to one of the pioneers of the Evangelical Church of Dénia, the Dianense Joaquín Pastor Cabrera. active church in his youth, Joaquín Pastor Cabrera studied theology in Barcelona in 1947, abandoning his job as clerk of the court of Denia leader.

After completing his studies in 1961, is tralada to Dénia to be the 6º pastor of the church, thus initiating a new stage for Protestants in Dénia and the rest of the country as head of the Religious Liberty Commission of Evangélica Bautista Union from Spain.

Joaquín Pastor Cabrera died on January 24 of 1977, leaving behind a legacy of works and intentions that are currently reflected both in the Evangelical Church and in the ideology of the Alpha & Omega College, the dream project that was a reality thanks to its successors
