Christmas decorative lighting will arrive this year to more streets of the city

The Department of Festivities of the City Council of Dénia has decided to expand the decorative lighting to more streets of the city this Christmas. In order to achieve a greater festive and Christmas atmosphere, the city council will assume the costs of lighting in new streets and squares. The contracting of the service has gone out to public tender today for an amount of 29.500 euros without VAT, which also includes the lighting costs during the Festa Major and the Moors and Christians.

New streets that will light up

For the Christmas holidays of this year, the city council has planned to install decoration in trees in the Cervantes esplanade, the avenue of Valencia with Loreto street and Valgamedios, Cholet, Jaume I and Benidorm squares.

Likewise, the streets Diana, Cop, Magallanes, Carlos will be decorated with luminous arches. Sentí, Colón, Sagunt, Patricio Ferrándiz, in the section between Plaza Arxiduc Carles and calle Diana, La Mar, Quevedo, Marqués de Campo and Plaza Arxiduc Carles. Lastly, luminous signs will be placed in the Plaza de la Constitució and the accesses to the city through Avenida de Alicante, Castell d'Olimbroi and Camí de Gandia.

The lighting and maintenance period will be the one between the 6 days of December of 2018 and 6 of January of 2019.

On the other hand, for the Major Fest and the festival of Moors and Christians, the illumination will be the traditional one of luminous arcs in the Calle Marques de Campo. In Festa Major 2019 the lighting and maintenance period will be between 5 and the 14 of July of 2019 and in Moros y Cristianos there will be decorative lighting in Marqués de Campo from 2 to 16 in August.
