The Evangelical Church baptizes by immersion 27 people

The Evangelical Baptist Church "La Trinitat" of Dénia celebrated last Tuesday, June 24, the 93rd anniversary of the first baptism celebrated in Dénia. The same place, the Marineta Beach Casiana, but a totally different era.

Pepa Cabrera Terrados, first convert, and her husband Vicente Pastor Sullana (Perpetual Deacon of the church) were baptized the first baptism of faith, he was the creator of the 'Creation Museum' that was in Les Galeres), José Candelaria Medina, Benjamín Rodrigo García, Mercedes Fernandez García, Joaquín Espinosa Meller, Joaquín Espinosa Broch, Manuela Santacreu Serra, Rosa Ausina Grimalt, Francisca Broch Ferrándiz and Rosa Catalá Bolufer.

Now, 93 years later and during the anniversary of its first centenary, 27 members of the Church repeated that ritual in the same place to give testimony of their faith.

The act began with the discovery of a sculpture by Toni Marí that represents baptism and will be installed at the height of the Cemetery of the English. Then the pastor Antonio Calero and the councilor of culture took the floor, Pepa Font. Pastor Jorge Pastor ended with a prayer before proceeding to the baptism of the faithful.
