The Generalitat will gather in a day in Dénia the main actors and operators of the Valencian ports

The Minister of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, Arcadi Spain, has announced that the Generalitat is going to celebrate next October 26 in Dénia "a conference that, with the title 'Blue Economy', will bring together the main actors and operators of the Valencian ports to deploy all the port assets that the Valencian Community has ".

After the meeting that he has held with the regional secretary of Public Works, María Pérez, and the general director of Ports, María Luisa Martínez, the minister has informed that during the day the new corporate image of the Ports of the Generalitat will be presented. Likewise, it has advanced that various round tables will be organized to "exchange ideas and deepen, among other issues, the sustainability, innovation and connectivity of our ports."

In addition, he stressed that "the port-city relationship will be another important issue to be discussed in the day. In this sense, Arcadi Spain has indicated that" ports must be open to citizens, be integrated into the city, at the same time that are promoted as an engine of sustainable development ".

For the head of Public Works, the 35 ports managed by the Generalitat, "have significant potential for fishing, commercial, tourism and sports, not only for the municipalities that host them, but also for a large area of ​​influence, and we must relaunch all this port asset that the Valencian Community has with the collaboration of the administrations and all the actors involved ".

Thus, he added, "the objective of the Generalitat is to achieve safe, accessible, sustainable and resilient ports, integrated into the city, and that can enhance its economic and tourist capacity".

Representatives from State Ports and the Balearic Islands will take part in this event, as well as from all the most significant sectors of the port environment: shipping companies, nautical clubs, fishing and tourism.
