The Generalitat invests 18 millions in developing the educational centers of Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre

The Councilor for Territory, Maria Josep Ripoll, and that of Education, Melani Ivars, have exposed this morning the current state of the works in the educational centers of Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre. The works to improve the state of the schools come thanks to the investment of 18 million euros from the Generalitat Valenciana, the largest, according to the government team, to date.

The works of the Maria Ibars institutes, to which 2'5 million euros have been allocated, and the Historian Chabàs, 800.000 €.

In the case of the expansion of the children's classroom in Pou de la Muntanya, a process that jumped to the media this month due to the uncertainty about the fate of the students who could not spend the facilities at the start of the course, Melani Ivar wanted to calm down and resolve The many doubts about it. He has assured that they have already planned the transfer of some 300 students to the facilities located on Joan Fuster Avenue, and continue working so that everyone has where to start the course. They are currently in the process of contracting for the creation of the new children's classroom, but they have planned that the works, in which 1'6 million euros will be invested, will begin next week and expect 4 to last for months.

Within the plan are also covered the works of the Cervantes, already finished and that have supposed 15.000 €, Llebeig, in a work that is expected to last a month and will involve 250.000 €, and the rehabilitation of the roof and dining room of the Vessanes, which is still in progress hiring, will involve € 390.000 and expect to have finished in 4 months. In addition, € 800.000 will be allocated to the Pare Pere de Jesús Pobre Center although they remain without resolution.

Also included in this investment is the creation of the school of La Xara, which represents 4 million of the plan, under construction since April and which they consider will end in a year, and the new Raquel Payà center, which is still pending resolution but they calculate which will mean 5'5 million euros.
