The government of the Generalitat Valenciana that presides over Ximo Puig has already released the budget bills for 2017, which bring long-awaited news for the inhabitants of the Marina Alta: the document contemplates an item of 350.000 euros for the construction of the Day Center that will be built in La Xara.
The new facility, designed for people with physical and intellectual disabilities, will occupy an area of 400 square meters, will accommodate up to 40 users and will share the kitchen with the Occupational Center currently manages Aprosdeco. The deadline for execution of works is six months, so it is expected that, once solved red tape, the center is finished in late or early 2017 2018.
The Day Center is one of the most demanded by the disabled community and family infrastructures, as will an improvement in the quality of life of both parties by allowing users to have activities during the day.
