The Generalitat assigns Dénia the 3 million euros necessary to build the La Xara school

19 2018 April - 13: 15

The countdown begins for the construction of one of the most necessary educational infrastructures in the Marina Alta: the school of La Xara. The Minister of Education, Research, Culture and Sport, Vicent Marzà, has signed the first resolutions of the Edificant Plan, among which are the 3 million euros that will be allocated to the Dianense center.

The project is already written, so now the deadlines are accelerated. According to municipal sources, it is time to tender the project, a phase that can last around 2 months. After the study and adjudication, the term of allegations will open and, finally, the final award of the work.

If the deadlines are met, everything points to the fact that at 2019 the new school works will be underway. The mayor of La Xara, Maite Pérez Conejero, has been very excited with the news. According to him, he is confident that in September the works can begin. For the time being, the City Council will clean the land. In addition, taking advantage of the resurfacing works of the street that the Diputación de Alicante undertook, the light connections that will be necessary for the center were left ready.

The Plan Edificant aims to streamline the procedures for the construction and improvement of Valencian schools and allows the municipalities that join the program to move forward in the processing of the files for the actions they consider to be priorities in their educational centers. The municipalities make the requests and the Generalitat finances all the actions to the town councils that take part in this plan.

Let's see if it's true and finally build a decent school. The situation is shameful. Education is a right and to be able to impart it and receive it with dignity another.
