Impulsa Cultura is an initiative of the Salom Sabar de Dénia Foundation for the promotion of cultural and artistic creation in the Marina Alta by supporting local artists and entrepreneurs.
The call, open until November 30, 2020, is intended for projects of any artistic discipline that are developed during the year 2021 with the requirement that they be linked to Dénia or the Marina Alta.
Through this program for the promotion of local culture, which was launched for the first time in 2018, the making of documentaries has been supported Crimps. Theater as a vehicle for inclusion which highlights the usefulness of theater as a pedagogical and social inclusion tool, Paths to Equality about the discrimination suffered by illiterate women in Dénia since 1940 and their transformation after learning to read and write in the 90s, or Venim de Lluny that takes a historical tour in the Marina Alta from prehistory to the present.
Impulsa Cultura has also supported social initiatives such as the launch of the Batucada Inclusiva MonBloc, festivals and competitions such as the Ojos Rojos Photography Festival, the L'Esperança Coronada Concert Series or the La Flexió Verbal Variety Festival, and has facilitated creation residencies, exhibitions, stage productions and collaborated with various cultural spaces in the region.
