La Fundació Baleària has organized the Baleàrics 2.0 music festival, which will be broadcast online next Saturday, May 2 at 18.00:XNUMX p.m. through the YouTube channel and the Facebook page of Baleària. It will bring together 12 musicians, among whom Valencian Borja Penalba, Mire Vives, Berta Iñíguez and Andreu Valor stand out.
In addition to the aforementioned singers, artists from other territories will participate in the meeting: Menorcan Cris Juanico, Barcelona's Lu Rois, the Mallorcan Maria Jaume and the singer from Formentera, María Cardona; in turn, the groups La Joven Dolores (Ibiza), Donallop (Mallorca) and the Algerian traditional music group Ibn Badja, from Mostaganem (Algeria) will participate. In addition, thanks to the collaboration of the Izouran Cultural Association of Nador (Morocco), the Moroccan singer Soufian Abdellaoui will also participate. All of them are singers or groups that regularly collaborate with the Baleària Foundation.
"From the Fundació we have a firm commitment to the territories in which the shipping company operates and we facilitate cultural exchange, building bridges between them. Usually we do it through our boats, but in Covid-19 times we will do it through social networks ”says Ricard Pérez, manager of the entity.
It should be remembered that, in 2019, in the cultural field, the entity collaborated with more than 200 artists and organized or collaborated with a total of 120 activities, including art exhibitions, but also concerts, many of them by musicians who participate in the festival.
