The pageantry started with a first part featuring women. The ballet of MªÁngeles Signes opened the parade, followed by a squad of girls escorting the flag carrier's chariot. Paqui Fernández was accompanied by her daughters throughout the tour, on a carriage that resembled a palace.

After them a new squadron paraded with the announcers, Amparo Mata, as corporal of squad, and a second ballet, also female, closed this first part.
