Letyourboat, a startup from Genoa (Italy), which connects and provides assistance in a simple and transparent way to those who own a boat with those who are looking for an experience on board, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Federation of Associations of Sports Ports and Tourist (FEAPDT). The objective of the agreement is to disseminate the use of nautical heritage as a resource for tourist reception, placing the marina as a tourist subject and gateway to the territory.
Through the use of the Letyourboat Portal, the tourist services carried out by the marinas and by the ecosystem of the territory's tourist offer are promoted. An action that mobilizes the marinas and all local operators for an integrated tourist reception that generates visibility to the marinas and the surrounding territory.
The marinas, included in the Letyourboat business model, will be able to enjoy greater visibility, overcome seasonality and expand their business, being able to sell their tourist services through the portal. An agreement that promotes boating in a sustainable way, bringing people closer to life in the marina, and making the nautical sector not only a market segment for experts, but also a resource for experiential tourism. In this sense, Walter Vassallo, founder and AD of Letyourboat, comments that “the agreement represents a tangible result to bring renewal to the sector and create a driving force for boating and its related industries, with a positive impact on the economy and the promotion of the territory of the country ".
For his part, Gabriel Martínez, president of the Feapdt assures that "this is an important initiative to continue in the trajectory of valorization of the tourist-nautical product, recognizing the role of the marinas as an interface between the sea, lakes, rivers and the land system , which represents a strategic node for the development of a territory and is capable of establishing valid synergies between the multiple operators connected to the sector. All together they give rise to that relevant sector in the economic framework of the country known as the blue economy.
