El Business Circle of the Marina Alta (CEDMA) has announced this Friday the winners of the twelfth edition of its annual awards, which recognize the trajectory of companies in the Marina Alta region.
Three are the winners of this year, which have presented different associations that are part of the Cercle. The president, Sonja Dietz, it has been shown "excited to spread joy" to the winners of this year, who have previously been informed of the good news.
The first prize falls on the family Ferrer Cabrera, Villas Ferrer and the Hotel La Posada del Mar. It is an unusual prize, since the candidacy was presented by two different associations. Aehtma and the Association of Tourist Promoters proposed, on the one hand, Jeanette Frogley, and on the other, posthumously, Miguel Ferrer. For this reason, the jury has decided to award the prize to the Ferrer Cabrera family.
Jeanette Ferrer arrived in Dénia at 1959, becoming a promoter of the current tourism model in Dénia. After meeting the one who would become his partner, Miguel Ferrer, they marked the road together with developments like El Oasis, "designing the Mediterranean tourism model that has been copied later by other promoters".
Miguel Ferrer, who died in 2012 at the age of 88, stands out as the founder of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia and founding partner of the Association of Promoters. He served as a councilor in the City of Dénia and received the Notable award in 2005.
The following prize, proposed by Multisecma, is awarded to clinical Glorieta, a pioneer center in the implantation of pacemakers with defibrillators. The center was founded in 1999 in Dénia, and in 2011, in addition to opening a clinic in Els Poblets, it moved its facilities to the Hospital HLA San Carlos, where he shares doctors and infrastructures. A new clinic in Ondara is projected soon.
Finally, CEDMA will recognize the work of the Mall Portal de la Marina, a prize proposed by the Association of Rental Companies. The jury has highlighted the business trajectory during its 10 years of history and what it means for the Marina Alta. Dietz has stressed that Portal de la Marina "It has also become an event center for the society of the region", highlighting its wide range of shops, leisure and catering, as well as its commitment to innovation and constant investment in its facilities.
Ximo Puig confirms his attendance
The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has confirmed his attendance at the event, which will be held on February 28 in the Jauja room in Baleària Port and to which the attendance of numerous politicians of the region is expected.
Of the act, the president has only advanced that there will be no initial conference "to give it more dynamism", and that a video will be screened, under the title Once upon a time ... CEDMA, review the history of the Cercle. In addition, a magician will entertain this event, which aims to value the companies of the Marina Alta.
