Dénia will soon have its dream university faculty, which they hope will be a claim for hundreds of students who want to receive their degrees there. To build it, a historic building has been chosen, in the privileged space that is the Torrecremada gardens.
In recent days, the works to rehabilitate the Torrecremada estate have finally begun. Specifically, its central building which, as can be seen in the images, was in a state of neglect unworthy of that 1970th-century jewel that has belonged to the Dénia City Council since XNUMX.
Once the work is completed, it is expected that for the 2023-2024 academic year, the capital of the Marina Alta will become one of the headquarters of the Universitat d'Alacant. Specifically, this faculty will host master's and postgraduate courses related to gastronomy.
The total budget of the project is €2.379.585, co-financed by the City Council and the Department of Universities, and it has an execution period of 20 months.
