The exalcaldesa, Paqui Viciano, acquitted of electoral crime denounced by Gent of Dénia

18 July 2013 - 00: 10

The Superior Court of Justice of Alicante has resolved the acquittal of the former mayor Paqui Viciano and the former councilors Pau Reig and Manolo Amat for an electoral crime that in 2007 denounced the formation Gent of Dénia and whose complaint withdrew that a few days ago because those affected "they are no longer engaged in politics".

The events go back to May 2007, days before the municipal elections when, according to the complainants, an act was laid to place the first stone of the new building of the Dénia Trinquet. According to the complainants, the electoral board banned the realization of that act that would later be seen in the press.

At the trial, held last week, Viciano stated that there was no act in which the press was notified, but a simple routine visit to see the progress of the works that was later published in the press.

Now, six years later, the Superior Court of Justice of Alicante considers that what was established by the Electoral Board was not breached, for which reason it absolves the accused's exediles.

From the PSPV-PSOE they congratulate themselves on this news, although they denounce "the political manipulation that the ex-Minister of Justice of the PP, Federico Trillo and Ana Kringe, candidate for mayor for the Popular Party in 2011 that used the complaint by Gent de Dénia to discredit Paqui Viciano and obtain political revenue during the electoral campaign of the municipal elections of May 2011 ". They also regret the excuse of Gent de Denia by withdrawing the complaint, since "It is the clear example of the political use of the judicialization that the former mayor of Dénia has been suffering".

The BLOC, for its part, has issued a statement in which they affirm that "we were convinced that justice would prove them right" and hope that their families "can forget this issue that has disrupted them and can continue normally." Josep Crespo, A nationalist councilor in Denia, reaffirms his support for the work and dedication of the exediles.

There are strange attitudes that are unprofessional in Radio Denia. com and since their website (recently reformed by the way) does not give the option to comment, I take advantage of this space and the news reported here is no longer given. I would like to know how much space it would have occupied if it had been the other way around. Do you have something against psoe? or it is simply a forgetfulness ... casual

Little by little, things will be clarified, little by little things are put in their place, little by little the truth prevails. The six years of discredit that the whistleblowers have inflicted on these people are only paid for by asking for forgiveness, telling the truth and acknowledging bad faith. Only like that, if they want to be considered good people ... I don't know.
